Holistic Agency

'This should not be taken as legal, tax or financial advice'.
How many times over the years have I had to use those words in discussion, or when writing to clients?
No exaggeration. Tens of thousands of times.
As a mere estate agent, I am not qualified to give advice on legal, tax or money matters.
However, upon reaching a certain age and reflecting (with my shrink), I have come to realise that over my 35 years in the business, I have actually made a positive impact on quite a few of my clients’ lives.
Perhaps you wouldn’t expect me to use the word (w)holistic, but as I head off for a quick break in Athens, it seems appropriate as ‘holos’ is from Ancient Greek. I have helped many with often life-changing decisions. Most of them have not been advised in the slightest bit holistically by anyone else.
It is not their fault but solicitors and accountants tend to have a narrow focus within their own area of expertise and do not stray out of it, often for fear of their firm’s PI insurance.
Financial advisors can be more rounded in their advice but even they have a vested interest in keeping their clients’ investments in fee-generating products within their control.
I often find myself assisting people to navigate through stressful times - like dealing with the probate of a lost relative, and the sale of their property.
Plus, I have given many clients practical ideas and solutions to plan for retirement utilising their property assets to best effect.
So, if you would like to discuss making the best of your property or properties, do feel free to contact me in full confidence…
…well, actually once I’m back from piling pebbles on the beach please!
